Russia signed a new arms deal with Syria. The first thought catapulting into my head after reading this news flash is I wonder if the ‘deal’ will include a few of those shipping container cruise missile platforms – the launchers that fit inside a normal shipping container. I sure wish the Russians would invent something like a revolutionary TV screen or high mileage low maintenance car so they could find something else to sell to the worst terror supporting countries on the planet besides weapons. If we were consistent in our foreign policy we would declare Russia part of the terror alliance and request sanctions against them at the UN. I know it would only be like throwing a feather at the proverbial hurricane because a UN sanction is about as effective as throwing a rock at an attacking Russian MIG 29 jet – speaking of which, a bunch of those latest jet fighters are heading to Syria now. Our only hope in the future may be that China might take a stand against Russia for selling weapons to America hating countries for endangering one of their fully owned subsidiaries.

Weapons are big business for sure.
I think Russia must rank as the most short-sighted country on earth, Charles. They don't seem to care about the dangers involved, including a nuclear confrontation when their weapons buyers, Syria and Iran, decide it's time to push the Jews into the sea. Those two countries have nutbags in both governments claiming extermination is near. The Israeli's won't go quietly.
