Gabriella Saucedo, a legal immigrant to this country in 1986 who became a naturalized citizen in 1991, gives a stirring defense of American sovereignty. She’s read the Arizona bill, and Gabriella eats this city council’s lunch. It is an honor to have her as a fellow citizen. Her address to the council starts a little over a minute into the video after the blowhards speak.

Good to hear.
She really knows what sovereignty means, Charles. Her comparison for those meatheads about robbing a bank was priceless.
One thing I learned and experienced becoming an atheist is that to have opinions that run counter to alot of people takes guts and nerve.
The looks of horror I see in peoples faces when I deny the existance of thier deity of choice is something that takes getting used to. And expect to become an outcast as well. If you're not one of us you're one of them.
This woman had real guts to stand up and support the AZ laws. She knows she will be seen as a traitor of her race. Shes one of them. It'll cost her some friends and acquaintances. But shes got her principles.
Shes everything the U.S. stands for.
Gabriella probably has many like minded Latino naturalized or native American citizens as friends, whydibuy. She sure knows what it means to be an American citizen. The news media runs out and interviews illegal aliens to find out if they oppose the bill while ignoring the opinion of Arizona Latinos who are legal American citizens.
Yeah, well if she has school age kids, they'll take some harrassment in school. And she herself will likely get death threats, verbally and mailed.
If teachers are promoting anti american courses, these same teachers will be hostile to the children. School boards are trying to weigh in against this. It'll take alot of backbone for those in support of the law.
Sure, there are many that support it, but sliently or in secret at the voting booth.
You and I may be hard cases that won't be intimidated but, unfortunately, many people wilt under the pressure. They'll wimp out, stand back and not support her and her children and allow the illegal lovers to intimidate, shout down or worse, get violent with them.
I'll have to hope the old axiom of no good deed going unpunished will be wrong for Gabriella, whydibuy. I'm glad she did it and by the latest poll 70% of Arizonans are glad too.
