Potential Cure

More good news on the mini-microbe front. Scientists have created a genetic vector which causes breast cancer cells to self-destruct Gene Therapy. By combining the designer biomimetic vector with the iNOS gene, researchers have overcome prior problems with a delivery system. By injecting this new agent directly they’ve been able to kill breast cancer cells in the lab. This would be a miracle for those suffering from metastatic breast cancer that has spread to the bones. I’m hoping this new genetic vector will be okayed to use on cases where all medical tech such as chemo and radiation have failed right away, where the patients face certain death if not afforded an alternative. Side effects from today’s torturous treatments would be completely avoided if this new therapy works. I know most of us have someone close who has suffered or died from this wide spread cancer.

Microbes are either gonna kill us or save. maybe both.

Here's hoping they give people the choice.

I believe you are correct, Charles.

I'm sure many of these breakthroughs give false hope, Jordan, but there are far and away enough people who only have death ahead that would be glad to test the new therapy. I'm with you. Give them the choice.

It's hard to get one's hopes up. But I fervently hope they're on to something this time. A horrible disease.

It is indeed, Raine, and the treatments rival the cancer in pain and suffering. Since even other researchers admit the delivery system was what has stifled the treatment, maybe with this breakthrough they have it beat.
