According to the experiment highlighted by this article parallel universes exist. It makes for some very interesting plotlines. The stories might even be mainstream reality rather than science fiction. Imagine an unlimited number of outcomes in one life all happening at the same time or time travel actually possible. In one of these parallel universes I might be a world famous author who fixes cars and trucks as a hobby. :)

I figure in most of those universes I'm a drunken bum.
That's not very optimistic, Charles. I'm sure in at least a couple though I probably overdid some banned substances too. :)
Fascinating possibilities.
However, I'm afraid my puritan gene would prevent me from making the most of them.
Writing stories about the possibilities would be all I could manage, Bernita. :)
Well according to the late Carl Sagan, there is nothing in physics that precludes the possibility of other dimensions beside the one we live in.
And as other great minds have said, not only is the universe strange, but its stranger than we can imagine.
Who knows what generations to come will get to discover and develop.
This would be beyond cool. Wondering if I'm king of the world in another dimension... (wg)
If they have indeed broken through to a new concept with this experiment, whydibuy, reality may shift at a rate faster than any of us can imagine.
That's right, Jordan, the possibilities are endless. I could be somewhere with a light-saber in my hand... of course I'd be too old to do much with it. :)
I missed this post, & it's fascinating. I'd written a short a few years back about overlapping parallel universes, & thought it'd make an interesting series, actually.
But maybe I'll leave that story to the uber-successful author-me out there somewhere, lol.
The really exciting thing about this, Raine, is it might all be true and these people are on the verge of a cataclysmic discovery... hopefully in a good way. :)
