I’m considering self publishing my teen witch horror novel STORM. Here’s the cover I designed for it. I know it’s not professional, but as a born pessimist, I’m not going overboard on buying cover illustrations with all the frills. :) I think this is catchy, but I’d appreciate any feedback on it I can get. It will be offered on Amazon as a Kindle book. I’ve already sent out fifty queries on my novel HARDCASE and I’ve sent nearly that many out on STORM. It’s such a great YA novel in my opinion I can’t see waiting any longer to try it out on Amazon. My others will be following in short order. :)

I like the cover quite a lot. Seems to fit the bill nicely. Certainly looks professional to me.
Thanks, Charles. I appreciate the feedback. There is a tree that is an integral part of the novel's plot. I'm working on the prep now to get STORM ready for Kindle.
I really love the cover .. Good Work .. Love the design .. Makes you want to just open the book and start reading it ..
Thanks for the feedback, China.
Bernard, I think you did a good job. I do have a couple of things for you to think about. The font with the green color will be hard to read when it's thumbnail size. Also, with the exception of the tagline, there's nothing that tells me this book is a YA. That could cost you sales, if readers don't catch the 'witch' line. And I want you to get as many sales as possible. :D
Thank you, Jordan. Much appreciated. :)
Agree with Jordan.
Also, the text at the top may seem a bit crowded in, especially if it's minimized.
Otherwise, think you did a great job, like the photo very much! :)
Thanks, Raine. Yeah, I found the photo in the web help connection for Microsoft Publisher and it fit my story perfectly. I did some changes I'm hoping will help. The thumbnail size is a problem, but Amazon has a pretty good full look when the title is selected. The problem of course is getting that first click. :)
