Funny Quote

I ran across this quote from the old-time actor and comedian W.C. Fields while doing research on a scene I'm adding.

W. C. Fields was quoted as saying:

"I once spent a year in Philadelphia, I think it was on a Sunday."

Please, if you're from Philly, no hate E-mails. I'm originally from Ohio. Here's an Ohio joke.

"A guy in a bar leans over to the guy next to him and says, “Wanna hear a Buckeye joke?”

The guy replies, “Well, before you tell that joke, you should know something. I am 6′ tall, 200 lbs. and I am an Ohio State graduate. The guy sitting next to me is 6′2″, 225 lbs., and he is an Ohio State graduate. The guy right next to him is 6′5″, 250lbs., and he is also an Ohio State graduate. Now, you still wanna tell me that joke?”

The first guy says, “No, not if I’m going to have to explain it three times.”

I'm old enough to picture Fields delivering the line, Jordan. :)

We folks from Ohio have to have a sense of humor, right Raine? :)

I did get the Ohio joke off a Michigan website, Charles. :)

Thanks, Vesper, I'm glad you liked them. :)

That gave me a laugh, Bernard, which I desperately need in the middle of this copyediting job.

Hello Bernard, Or anyone else that may have some knowledgeable input at this point! VERY frustrated, as well as almost broke, No vehicle for a month+... I have an '05 Expedition...last spring changed all Spark plugs, but couldn't afford to do Coil packs at that time.Daughter borrowed my Truck to go to work, and called 5 min. later, it had died after she accelerated from taking off from stop light. She drove it home at about 15 mph, and hasn't started and stayed running ever since, had a friend look at it, and replaced coil packs, as codes read it needed those, then he said starter was bad, (think he is full of *&$#!!) Replaced that, now codes are reading Throttle Position Sensor, and Mass Air Flow Sensor... TODAY my BF replaced the TPS, rolling over... but will not even start now. When plugging it in he heard a click... is it possible that it broke? And would the Mass Air Flow Sensor prevent it from starting?
Thanks for your time Bernard!!
Desperate,
In Gillette, WY :/

If the Mass Air Flow Sensor was keeping it from starting, you could unplug the sensor. If it starts, you may be right, and the sensor is causing it. You've been parts changing, trying to save money. In most cases, you end up spending more than if you had taken it into a professional to have it checked.
