Poems and a new Author's Database

My poem, The Lighter Side of Dogs and Cats was picked up through Triond by AuthSpot. It’s a laugh at the more odorous side of our four legged friends I’ve noticed over the years. AuthSpot also put up my more nostalgic poem, Funny. I read where putting short stories and poems on-line somewhere people actually visit helps with letting readers get to know you.  :)
I finished my third screenplay, which is the second script of my YA trilogy DEMON. No real bites on my other two, so I don’t have any idea where the screenplay writing will ever go. It’s still fun though, and it hasn’t affected my novel writing at all. I’m a third of the way through a new dark sequel to HARD CASE, where I introduce two new violent people into John Harding’s crew.
There’s a new Author’s Database site where a writer can post all their covers, places their novels are for sale, and a biography. They do a real nice job on it. Here’s the link if anyone wants to stop by or sign up. It’s free – AUTHORSdb.
All’s quiet on the automotive East Oakland demilitarized zone front. The street’s been quiet, and cold. The shop’s been at around fifty degrees all week until yesterday we hit the sixty mark. Yeah, I know… boo hoo… you poor California muffin. :)  I’m doing another Internet Radio spot with Elaine Raco Chase on Thursday, highlighting my YA novel DEMON. I’ll post the time and put a link to it later when my time is confirmed.

The Lighter side of cats and dogs was indeed funny. Enjoyed it. Congrats on all the progress you are making.

Thanks, Charles. We have to take progress where we can get it, my friend. :)

Bernard, You're making wonderful progress, my friend. Seriously! You are really getting yourself out there. You might want to check out the online screenwriter get togethers that seem to be happening with regularity. I'm not sure what the name of the groups are, but a friend, Vivi Anna attends all the time, since she is also writing scripts.

I'm doin' it, Jordan. :) I am a member of STAGE 32, and a number of screenwriter groups on LinkedIn. I'm also advertising my stuff on InkTip. I'm also a member of the Indie Group 'International Screenwriters' Association'. I hate to say this, but most groups are circle jerks. If your material hits, it's like 'Fifty Shades' lightning in a bottle. There's no in road to getting a script looked at other than your material gets in front of someone that sees potential. I'm doing it all: log lines, sell sheets, and queries to the actual screenwriters' agent firms. I'm having fun doing it though, and that's a key. :)

Yay on you for getting your stuff out there to be read, Bernard.
Off to check out the link... :)

Thanks, Raine! I hope you enjoy them. I'm marketing. I wish I were better at it, but there's some stuff I just won't do. :)

Bernard,

You're right, having fun doing it is all that matters. I still wish you lots of luck. :)

Thanks, Jordan. As long as I keep writing and publishing, there's always a chance. Besides, DEMON AT WAR, the last part of the DEMON trilogy was the funniest and best stuff I've ever done. I wish I didn't have to space out the release dates on them. :)
