Release Day for Hard Case VII: Red Waves

RJ Parker Publishing released my 31st novel today, Hard Case VII: Red Waves. This first crossover event between my Hard Case and Cold Blooded series teams takes a hard look at luxury ocean cruising security with the two most violent crews in pulp fiction – John Harding’s Monster Squad and Nick McCarty’s Unholy Trio. When John Harding’s CIA boss, Assistant Director Denny Strobert, sells a kill mission to Nick McCarty’s new backer, CIA Director Paul Gilbrech, they forge together the deadliest people the two men had ever met. With a chance to continue their secret war on Isis, and get a shot at the Isis enabling terrorist nation of Iran, John Harding and Nick McCarty sign on to deliver the deadly statement without mercy or hesitation.

I’m excited to see how well the fans of both series like this collaboration.  :)

Ya'll have got this down to a science, from the writing to the release. I will definitely pick it up.

Thanks, Charles. As we've discussed before, when the writing's going well, we have to ride the wave into the rocks. :)

I enjoyed the Hard Case VII, and got more into it further into the book. It took a couple dozen pages to get over my antipathy to the merging of the two series. I was a little curious about Iran supporting ISIS/ISIL in the plot; my understanding of the current global situation is that Iran is actually fighting against ISIS, and using the opportunity created by instability in Iraq to seize territory, and aside from that battle I'd heard that Iran is currently in a sort of cold war with the Saudis'. Also, if you haven't checked them out, I think you'd agree with most prominent atheists on issues involving Islam; particularly Christopher Hitchens and Sam Harris. Thanks for your writing, and for keeping us all entertained.

Iran isn't fighting anyone except Western Civilization, Matt. They secretly back every single murderous Islamist organization in existence. I'm sure the atheists and every thinking human being on the planet believe Islam to be a murderous cult hell bent on subjugating the planet in their attempt at establishing this wondrous Caliphate, outlined by all of their leaders. I'm glad you enjoyed the crossover.

I have thoroughly, thoroughly enjoyed both the Harding and McCarty series, along with several of the singles. I check Amazon on a daily basis so that I don't miss a release, and I get to live vicariously through your characters (which keeps me from going to prison). In one of the Nick McCarty books, a person at his book signing says that her only complaint is that he doesn't produce new volumes fast enough. That's my only complaint with you, as well (made completely tongue-in-cheek). Thanks for the entertainment, and thanks for sharing your views in your books. Our country desperately needs to hear those views, but I'm afraid our country is deaf.

I do get that complaint a lot, Matt. :) Writing pulp fiction keeps me sane, but 2K words a day is about my limit without losing the delight in storytelling. I'll have Cold Blooded VI: Bloody Horizon ready for release in July. It will have a crossover event in both the main novel and the bonus Nick and Jean in the future story I've included since Book 3 in the Cold Blooded series. If you're on Facebook, I have a page where you can stay up to date on all releases, although I will always blog them too. My publishing partner, RJ Parker, and I answer any readers questions about publishing or the novels there too. I agree with you. If we don't get a leader Saudi Arabia doesn't own, we will be destroyed from within.
