Indie Book of the Day Winner: HARD CASE

I received some good news on the writing front. My novel HARD CASE won the IBD Indie Book of the Day Award for today – 9/9/2013. It’s kind of just in time, because I went over 80,000 words in book three of the HARD CASE series called Hard Case III: Voyage of the Damned. I have a cover for it too that my partner RJ Parker likes. We’ll be announcing it and promoting shortly before its October release. I’m hoping this third book in the Hard Case series does as well as the first two. RICK CANTELLI, P.I. has been doing very well too since its release. It helps to have something positive.

Congratulations, Bernard! I don't know anyone who deserves it more than you! Your hard work, your perseverance, your courage see the recognition they deserve. Well done, my friend.

Thanks, V, I very much appreciate your kind words. I have to admit though that writing is anything but hard work for me. I love every second of it. :)

Congrats, Bernard! Woot!!!
(and that cover ROCKS).

Thank you, Raine. There is something about the possibilities a new release brings with it. Due to the strange market place, success and utter failure ride very close together. It is exciting though. :)

Cool, man. That's wonderful. Well deserved recognition!

I like the recognition where readers buy and enjoy our books, Charles. The award is a neat thing, but I have no idea how they base their decision. I'm more excited about having added on nearly 3,000 words onto Voyage of the Damned since I wrote the blog. Thanks, my friend.

I know you love writing - but didn't you work very hard to promote your novels? ;-)

My marketing partner, RJ Parker, does most of the promoting, V. Before I hooked up with him my promotions were negligible. I do some advertising in Book Trailers Showcase e-mag, but other some mentions on Facebook, I mostly stick with writing.
