Writing, The Other Meat :)

I finished editing DEMON AT WAR, the third book in my YA trilogy. There are few times in my life I’ve been this happy with something I’ve done. The stuff I pulled off in this one made me laugh all through it, even though I’m the one that wrote it. I think I’ve gone around the bend with my characters in this one. I know writing is supposed to be fun and fulfilling, but I also know how tedious and excruciating some aspects of this gig can be. When I decided on a trilogy for Mike, Demon, and the Demon Inc crew, I had my doubts about it as my first attempt at a multi-book attempt. Boy, was that misplaced angst. They’ve stirred so much up in my head with the antics nearly writing themselves, they’ll be haunting me for more. When they say you have to have an ego to write, I’d have to agree. You eat, sleep, and breathe your creations. They can be your torturers or just like family. Demon and his crew are my family.  :)

Always good to have a demon in the family eh? :) I'm glad you enjoyed it. I felt that way about much of the writing in the Talera trilogy

I'll bet you did, Charles. It's always significant when even the editing is fun. :)

Thanks, Rick. It's all on a personal level so far with my Demon family. :)

I know that feeling, lol.
I've had characters I felt much closer than even family to.
And they don't borrow money (snort!).

They rattle around in my head so much, Raine, they make me feel guilty about my real family. :)
