Hard Case VII: Red Waves

Just an update on writing progress - I'm nearing the 93K words mark. The new novel, Hard Case VII: Red Waves, splices my two teams from Hard Case and Cold Blooded together for a crossover event not to be missed. John Harding’s Monster crew join forces with Nick McCarty’s Unholy Trio for a violent running battle against terrorist infiltrators, and an Isis plot authored from Iran to capture the newest skyscraper cruise ship on the high seas. Unfortunately for the horde at our gates, the Isis perpetrators run into an American force without mercy, compassion, or rules of engagement. They kill, maim, and torture their enemies while the innocents they save sleep. The execution of America’s enemies is their business… and business is good. Red Waves will be in the 120K word range and will be released on schedule in April. I’m loving every bloody minute of writing it.  :)

Hard Case VII: Red Waves - Coming Soon

In their own pulp fiction manner, Nick McCarty’s crew from my series Cold Blooded and John Harding’s Monster Squad from my series Hard Case join in a bloody violent strike against Isis and their enablers. With the fate of thousands in a high-stakes gamble on the high seas, the two teams not only launch against pirates from terrorist nations recruited by Isis and the Muslim Brotherhood, they attack an enemy nation’s port hosting the pirates.

This crossover event will not only be a high seas adventure, but a series of battles fought in a no holds barred, merciless defense of a nation in jeopardy. After heavy losses to the Unholy Trio and the Monster Squad, Isis gambles on a huge shock assault to regain momentum in our homeland. Unfortunately, for the throat slitting cowards, John Harding and Nick McCarty wage war without rules of engagement except one - mutilate, torture, and kill your enemy. Hard Case VII: Red Waves hit the 50K word mark tonight and spills out of my head with a fury, so it will be ready in April. :) Here is a preview of the cover in the works.

Blood Lust (Dhampir) Finished

I finished my new paranormal novel about a half human/half vampire from the short story I wrote titled 'Dhampir'. Because most people don't know what a Dhampir is, we're probably going to title it 'Blood Lust'. In any case, brother RJ Parker already has the manuscript draft for 'Blood Lust', and I'm editing it while writing my Hard Case/Cold Blooded crossover titled 'Red Waves'. Here's an initial blurb I wrote for 'Blood Lust'.

A vampire named Aaron, buried alive after the Battle of Gravelines near Calais, rips a path across Europe when unearthed, escaping to America. He seduces a young college coed, Jillian Mary Blake. Young Jillian gives birth to Jedidiah Israel Blake. Jedidiah, a half human/half vampire Dhampir wields incredible power. Jed’s childhood partner, Erin Constanza, grows up next door sharing Jed’s monstrous secret of what his Mom thinks of as raising the ‘Dark Superman’. In new writing news, I’m at the 84K word mark in my new paranormal novel Dhampir. I’ll also be writing the introduction to my publisher and good friend RJ Parker’s non-fiction true crime book tentatively titled ‘Islamic Terrorism: In America Today’. RJ is planning on a May release for the book.
