I have a 1995 chrysler lhs and have removed the timing cover and belt, along with all pulleys and also removed the timing housing from the block. I bought the only kit from the chrysler dealer that they offered concerning the replacement of the o-ring or seals that surround the hole where water passes from block to water pump and water jackets (?) or vice versa. The casting on the back of the timing housing are like almost a 1/4" and are flat. They gave me actual o-rings. Are these correct or should they be flat seals?mlh6677https://www.blogger.com/profile/02716798028806363432noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1405576651020920367.post-64459988312570904122021-10-29T07:56:07.165-07:002021-10-29T07:56:07.165-07:00I have an 07 Dodge Ram with a manual transmission....I have an 07 Dodge Ram with a manual transmission. My guess would be you may actually have a bad oxygen sensor, or still have a vacuum leak, or fuel injection problems. If the truck is running okay, try running the tank down to 1/8 of a tank. Refill it with either Chevron Supreme or Unocal Super. Your injectors are probably the originals. If you've use regular gas in it, the injectors are probably clogged. Add a couple of bottles of Chevron Fuel injection cleaner to the tank when you fill it too. Needless to say that I was more than kissed about that because I had already gotten a timing belt and water pump service done on the car a little over 4 years ago, and that pump had barely 20k miles on it! Maybe the timing belt tensioner seized which caused the bearing in the pump to fail prematurely? 🤷🏿♂️ I don’t know. Either way i got another service done back in June, and so far so good (knocks on wood.) I have a 2000 Dodge intrepid with the 3.2L ...Hello

I have a 2000 Dodge intrepid with the 3.2L engine, and it has a small coolant leak near the front of the engine. I can see it start to drip onto the ground after I run the engine for about 5 or 10 mins give or take. I suspect that the O ring for the heater core feed pipe or the pipe itself is failing. However when I took it to a mechanic the other day, they said that the coolant was leaking out of the weep hole for the water pump. I had a timeIng belt and water service done on the car about 4 years ago and have since only put about 22k miles on it. So my question is, does the 3.2L engines have weep holes for the water pumps and if so where are they located? Could it be the water pump or is it more likely to be the heater core feed pipe and o ring? Is there a way I can find out for sure without taking off both the upper and lower intake manifolds?Ace of Spadeshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17348932475781391635noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1405576651020920367.post-55745426908812458122019-11-04T11:31:08.752-08:002019-11-04T11:31:08.752-08:00I will repeat the updated note on basic checks, he...I will repeat the updated note on basic checks, helping to isolate a problem.

NOTE: Here's a quick diagnostic check for major problems or governor transducer and wiring faults. I won't explain where any of the ports are because each person attempting this check should have the proper equipment, safety cautions, and manuals:

For checking a transmission similar to the one mentioned in the above post to tell if the problem is in the transmission or the wiring is to put a pressure gauge on the governor port and start the motor. You then pull the case connector and put the transmission in drive. You should see main line pressure and the transmission should go into 3rd gear. If you see no pressure then you know that the problem is in the unit and the transmission needs replaced. If you have pressure and the transmission goes to 3rd gear then you have to look at the wiring and governor valves.BernardLhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09722619048888613647noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1405576651020920367.post-30545268653133559302019-11-04T11:24:09.776-08:002019-11-04T11:24:09.776-08:00Unknown with the 2006. If you haven't replaced the spark plugs or coil on plug units, that could also cause misfires, but they would also cause a code which you have not mentioned.BernardLhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09722619048888613647noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1405576651020920367.post-82391969170854432772019-11-04T11:20:04.967-08:002019-11-04T11:20:04.967-08:00First, Autozone and Napa do not sell OEM Ford part...First, Autozone and Napa do not sell OEM Ford parts. Anything, such as a sensor or catalytic converter should be OEM from the dealer. Here are some things to try you may have missed in the post.

1. If you have multiple throttle codes, it will almost always mean an electronic throttle body replacement along with the throttle position sensor.
2. The wiring harness running behind the Exhaust Gas Recirculation tube chaffs through the harness wiring and causes a multitude of goofy sensor and code problems.
3. They have updated spark plugs for these. In a related note, misfiring coils and spark plugs also cause an array of unrelated codes. My advice is change both the spark plugs and individual coil on plug assemblies every 60,000 miles.
4. The alternator going out on the Expeditions can and does cause electronic interference, disrupting engine and transmission operation.
5. A link to the Technical Service Bulletin for Transmission and Drivability problems related to a check ball breaking inside the transmission valve body.
6. I came across myriad problems in the East and Midwest after much research where a leaking windshield leaks water into the fuse box. The fuel pump relay is built into it so the fuse box has to be replaced when leakage is found. If the C270 dark green wire at the fuse box has no power it would point to corrosion in the fuse box. That could also cause myriad weird other electrical problems.BernardLhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09722619048888613647noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-1405576651020920367.post-60209398874167195182019-11-02T08:56:08.108-07:002019-11-02T08:56:08.108-07:00Hey, I have a 2006 expedition with 120k miles on i...Hey, I have a 2006 expedition with 120k miles on it, I having a problem when I get on the highway I can't go over 70 and if I hit the gas hard I feels like it misfiring and will not go.
