Cold Blooded in Top 4 Spots in Amazon's 'Spies' and 'Special Forces'

I will be writing the finish to ‘Hard Case VI: The Killer Inside’ this weekend at a little over a 100K words. It probably is the most violent, action packed entry in the series so far with a lot of humor. John Harding leads his crew of Monsters in a string of deadly assaults on Isis compounds and pipelines from South America while preparing for his UFC bout against The Berserker: Rutger Northman.

In other writing news, my Cold Blooded series made it to the top four spots in the Amazon ‘Spies’ and ‘Special Forces’ categories. It’s neat to see them up there.  :)

Writing Away Summer

The new issue of Book Trailers Showcase Reviews E-mag is out for July and August. They have a little of everything in this issue as always. Reviews, stories, columns, and new release ads. It is a wonderful on-line magazine that can be enjoyed on computer, tablet, or phone.  There is an app for it.  :)

In writing news, my Monster Squad led by John Harding has a new pulp fiction adventure I’ve been working on titled Hard Case VI: The Killer Inside. It’s 80K words along and on schedule for mid August. John gets a fill in slot at the Mandalay Bay when the number one UFC contender ‘The Berserker’ needs a substitute. The Berserker’s opponent bows out at the last minute because of a training injury and John Harding’s available. Isis and their Drug Cartel cohorts begin a running scourge of events from South of the border including kidnapping, assassination, and weapons of mass destruction. Add in local gangbangers, a coed serial killer, and bank robbers who think they’re the reincarnation of Bonnie and Clyde for a non-stop pulp fiction adventure when John has to once more come to grips with ‘the killer inside.

My other pulp fiction creation, Rick Cantelli, P.I. Book IV: Shades of Death is already at 25K words, and shaping into another violent and funny Rick and Lo adventure. Rick and his old love Stacy try to guide their young hellion grandson Jim into his teenage years amongst movie debuts, reality TV stars, and local gang takeovers.

All in all, a great writing summer, filling the hours of reality with a very enjoyable fiction alternative.  :)

Casserine 99 Cent Special and New Free Story

I have a couple of neat specials today. My Space Marine novel Casserine is on Kindle Nation Daily for only 99 cents. Loaded with action, humor, and romance, my crew of characters in this science fiction novel battle across the galaxies against all enemies, foreign or domestic. At nearly 700 pages, Casserine will entertain, and for 99 cents, a reader can’t go wrong.  :)

Also today, I have another tryout on for future novel consideration. I wrote a paranormal short story titled Dhampir for a charity anthology which the publisher decided to cancel. I enjoyed writing the story so much, I’m considering it for a full length novel. The link takes the reader to my One Drive and the PDF viewing of Dhampir. Jedidiah Israel Blake and his childhood partner Erin Constanza grew up sharing the secret of what Jed’s Mom thought of as raising the ‘Dark Superman’. Jed was not like other boys. He is a Dhampir, half human, half vampire. My friend, RJ Parker and I are gauging these new characters for a novel next year under the RJ Parker Publishing Inc banner. Let us know how you like it.
