Islamist Reminder

When we read media stories about our evil empire here in the USA it would be prudent to remember just how evil our enemies truly are. Terrorist followers of the Religion of Submission have murdered and maimed more of their brethren than we have in over a decade of war against the Islamists. There were so many incidents of mayhem throughout the world visited upon the human race by the Islamist blasphemers of humanity it was a challenge to pick just one illustrating my point. I picked this story of an 8 year old little girl kidnapped by mongrel Islamist dogs from her home in Peshawar Monsters. They strapped a bomb vest on her and sent the little girl toward a small town’s security checkpoint manned by their own countrymen.

No other faction of monsters exist on earth doing this type of blasphemy. They may claim to be at war against Western Civilization, but in actuality these medieval cretins are simply at war with sanity and logic. No God guides their hand. They are guided by dogma and indoctrination to exterminate not only the people on earth who don’t belong to their religion, but also all those belonging to their religion who aren’t as devoid of humanity as they are. That these cowardly freaks of nature will make human bombs from their own children speaks of a subhuman mutant group beyond redemption or forgiveness.

New Stuff

I passed the thirty thousand word mark on my new YA novel. Writing new stuff always eases the doldrums of querying stuff you’ve finished to many of the same suspects out in the publishing world. With Amazon breathing down all their necks with a one stop shop as both agent and publisher I can understand how frightening these days are for them. When I look over the thousands of new books available from writers self publishing everywhere, it does make me more persistent about seeking representation from the ‘Old Guard’. Name recognition ain’t coming by way of hawking books on the Amazon forums I’m afraid.  :)  It will still take getting an agent to believe in what we’ve created enough to push our work up the publishing ladder where possibly someone other than the people we have locked in our garage will read it. Like most everything else in any business service - you need a pro.

The new YA novel is based on my characters from past Halloween blogs starring my paranormal pup, Demon. It’s been a lot of fun expanding this one because I really like all the characters and the dog that understands everything. I’ve mixed in the supernatural with a ‘Scoobie’ gang around Demon and Bay Area haunted places like Alcatraz as the backdrop to the segments. It sure beats my venture into first person POV in my last novel HARDCASE. That one has garnered a few partial requests but is still ringing up names on the rejection list. The present YA venture has healed the wounds from that enterprising attempt at a point of view tryst I find very difficult to write. It’s going to be a challenge keeping Demon and the gang down in the word count range for YA novels, but I’ll throttle myself into a 65,000 to 75,000 word finished product. Anyway… that’s news on the writing front. I know my writing friends are going through the same travails trying to figure out where the winds are blowing in the publishing storm. It’s still fun creating new realities because actual reality is getting tougher to understand every day.  :)

The Ice Age Cometh

James Delingpole’s new column on the coming ice age hilariously recounts ten positive notes to consider as the temperature drops - Ice. Scientists, reluctantly I’m sure, admitted the Sun’s sunspot activity reached its zenith and appears headed into a dormant period which will lead to even cooler temperatures than earth has already been experiencing lately. The worst part of this news for Holy Global Warmists is that if the Sun’s decreased sunspot activity can drop worldwide temps within the decade on an immediate basis, it puts the lie to all the shysters stealing money hand over fist from the world’s populace to tilt at the windmill of ‘Climate Crisis’. How can man be so much to blame for temperature rises on the planet when even a brief change in Sun activity turns the whole theory on its head? The answer is of course that manmade global warming is and has always been a hoax. Clearheaded scientists pointed all this out at the beginning of the massive con job, illustrating the lie using other planets in our solar system. These other planets warmed in spite of not being polluted by mankind. I wonder if as earth and all planets in our solar system now begin immediately to cool whether the obvious conclusion will finally stop the global warming gravy train.

I love Delingpole’s suggestion we feed the starving polar bears ice skating down on the growing ice sheet from the North Pole all the Holy Global Warming hucksters. I nominate the chief huckster as their first tasty treat: The Goracle.  :)

Starlite

Some stories jump out at me because they both challenge credulity and my imagination Starlite. Small time inventor Maurice Ward created a heat defying, lightweight material he calls Starlite over two decades ago. It can survive with barely a scratch everything up to and including a nuclear heat flash with incredible insulation properties. Through a vague series of events everyone in the world wants it, including NASA, but nothing happens. No deal is ever struck and Starlite never gets developed because of factors both believable and ludicrous. Mr. Ward’s story is worth reading.

If Starlite indeed is a real substance, the uses for it are endless, including extruding it around nuclear reactors when they leak as in the catastrophe in Japan. Space craft, buildings, on and on and on… the potential of such a creation could change everyday life as we know it. A material that resists temperatures capable of melting carbon yet remains cool to the touch is I admit unfathomable. Ward claims he is ready to make more expansive deals now to get Starlite into production. I hope it’s real.

Lightning over Volcano

This article Chile with incredible photos of a volcano in Chile erupting into columns of smoke while the heavens strike with lightning will take your breath away. Sometimes when Mother Nature mixes up terror and beauty in such a surreal matchup, it makes me thankful we have the photographic capabilities available to record them. Wow, what a sight!

PO171 & PO174 Code Cause In Ford 6.8L Triton Engines

Because of e-mail inquires about a very common problem with PO171 & PO174 Lean Right Bank codes on the 6.8L Ford V10 Triton engine, I made this movie to illustrate the most likely suspect. A customer’s 1999 Ford F250 Super Duty truck with 6.8L Triton engine came in with the check engine light on,  and the engine loping (revving up and down in RPM). The PCV hose running  from under the front center lower throttle body to the right valve cover PCV valve (Crankcase Ventilation Valve) deteriorates where a sharp bend in the hose routes the hose to the valve cover. Once this bend in the hose rots and causes a vacuum leak many performance problems crop up – loping engine, lean miss, stalling, high idle speeds, hesitation, power loss, and the PO171 & PO174 code combo. The fix I do for this is to change out the sharp bend with a plastic connector. It’s a little time consuming but the hose never causes the same problem again.

The second part of the movie pertains to taking off the individual coil assemblies, spraying into the spark plug hole, and allowing a soak period before removing the spark plugs. These 6.8L & 5.4L Ford engines are infamous for stripped threads and actually blowing spark plugs out of their holes. Replacing them even with careful precautions can end in having to install thread inserts when the threads get damaged during removal. The Timesert 5553 repair kit is the best tool set for repairing these potential disasters.

That’s all for this update, but if you’re appreciative of the information, here is a link to my new novel COLD BLOODED for Nook and Kindle. If you’re kind enough to read it and like it, please review it on the site you purchase it from. Thank You! Every little bit helps my writing gig. :)
