Memorial Day Thank You

I know many have seen this somber reminder but today is the day to share it once more.

It is the
VETERAN
,
not the preacher,
who has given us freedom of religion.

It is
the VETERAN,
not the reporter,
who has given us freedom of the press.

It is
the VETERAN,
not the poet,
who has given us freedom of speech.

It is
the VETERAN,
not the campus organizer,
who has given us freedom to assemble.

It is
the VETERAN,
not the lawyer,
who has given us the right to a fair trial.

It is
the VETERAN,
not the politician,
Who has given us the right to vote.

It is the
VETERAN
who
salutes the Flag,

It is the
VETERAN

who serves under the Flag,

ETERNAL REST GRANT THEM O LORD, AND LET PERPETUAL LIGHT SHINE UPON
THEM.

Blame Game

Blaming Presidents for natural and man-made disasters is like blaming washing the car for a rainstorm. Just as I did not blame President Bush because hurricane Katrina swept through the Gulf states, and Louisiana happened to be run by the most incompetent boobs ever assembled in one locality, I do not blame President Obama because incompetent morons at BP decided to use seawater instead of special fluid on the deep water oil rig. What in the heck is President Obama supposed to do with the oil well leak? Experts are working day and night to find a way to plug this leak and I am confident of that. Unfortunately they have not been successful yet. I wonder about the intelligence of people calling for Obama to do something. Like what, send in the military to bomb the oil spill? He may be getting bad advice on hesitating when Louisiana Governor Jindal wanted to create a sand barrier off the Louisiana coast. Although I disagree with many things President Obama does I know there isn’t a person on earth who wants the oil leak plugged more than him. He’s beginning to understand how President Bush felt during Katrina as he gets blamed for a catastrophe he didn’t cause and must rely on the best possible advice and professionals under him to solve. I’m praying the problem solvers find a solution soon.

Retaliation?

US plots Pakistan strike if Taliban pull off major attack inside America. This is the kind of headline we get when immigration, both legal and illegal, from countries with terrorist ties in the Middle East infiltrate unchecked. After 9/11 all immigration from the Middle East should have been halted and our borders secured with no holds barred militarization. After the worst terrorist attack in US history President Bush held hands with Muslim representatives and then Mexican President Vicente Fox to assure the world it would be business as usual. Thanks to that goofy scenario and continuing non-enforcement of our immigration laws we have potential cataclysmic WMD attacks on the horizon from a fifth column recruiting from inside our prisons, illegally over our porous borders, and directly from suspect countries legally. Now we have major cities being referred to as Dearbornistan and Detroitistan due to legal influx of Middle Eastern Islamic immigrants more intent on establishing Sharia Law than assimilating into America. I guess after the travesty of allowing Mosques to be built in the shadow of the Twin Towers devastation where nearly 3,000 American citizens died, we’ll be able to add New Yorkistan to the list of potential Sharia cities. We wouldn’t be reading headlines about retaliation plans if our incompetent leaders from the day after 9/11 had shut down our borders and stuffed political correctness in our immigration policies where the sun don’t shine. No way should we be importing our own destruction from the Middle East. Now we’re left with hoping terrorist cells we’ve imported misfire their bombs while plotting retaliatory strikes if they don’t? Insanity!

Arizona School News

Apparently the new Arizona law is having the effect of influencing illegal aliens to leave the state. Although the article below works really hard to equate the fleeing illegal aliens with refugees escaping the death camps, it inadvertently illustrates the actual plusses of this law very well. Let’s start with this:
“About 170,000 of Arizona's 1 million K-12 students are children of immigrants and include both citizens and non-citizens, according to a 2009 Pew Hispanic Center study.
For every net decline of one student, a school loses an average of $4,404 in state money. The total amount of funding for the 170,000 children of immigrants is about $749 million, or 16 percent, of the state's education budget.”

I beg to differ with this assessment. The net decline of one student means $4,404 in state money that will not need to be spent. This means a $4,404 per student the taxpayers will not have to foot the bill for. It also means illegal alien parents leaving jobs which should be and will be filled by American citizens. It also means $4,404 less the school needs. Instead of whining about the drop in enrollment, the school authorities should be heralding the amount of time and money saved. Of course to the media any taxpayer savings for not educating people here illegally is racist. One family in the article claims to be fleeing to New Mexico. The article makes this seem like something that should cause Arizona to repeal their law. It makes me think New Mexico better hurry up and pass one of their own.

Let’s take a look at one other statement by a school superintendant – a taxpayer paid representative of the state of Arizona:
"When you lose kids, you lose money," Balsz Superintendent Jeffrey Smith said. "It gives you less to work with."
Fire this incompetent. It will mean a job for another educator who holds the Arizona taxpayer in higher regard than an illegal alien. Reducing budgets for illegal aliens leaving the state is an economic certainty. Making the reduced budgets work in time will make it much more difficult for the travesty of the Arizona taxpayers funding the education of a 170,000 illegal aliens or anchor babies. Let’s add to the mix a 170,000 plus parents who will not be bilking the Arizona system in free medical care and assorted other welfare related expenses. Contrary to making me sad for the invaders as was intended, this article makes me wonder why it took so long for the state to give its real citizens a break from this horrendous expense. Oh yeah… I remember… Janet Napolitano was the Governor before.

More Border Infiltration From OTM's

The new statistics on citizens backing Arizona and tough immigration enforcement laws CNN gathered from their May 21-23 poll CNN/Opinion represent the highest numbers ever since 2006 when the subject was first polled. Man, there must be some huge bucks changing hands in the back rooms for this complete disregard of US citizens’ will to go on. Yesterday an announcement was made of a Somali Texas man running a large scale smuggling enterprise bringing hundreds of Somalis up through Brazil, South America, and Mexico. This led to a terror alert for a Somalia-based Al Shabaab terrorist group’s infiltration through this Texas smuggler’s network into the US. The 1,200 troops being sent to the border are not to stop immigrants by order of Mexico. I bet you didn’t know our administration takes border security directives from Mexican authorities. It’s official now. Our government’s attitude toward the illegal alien invasion is suicidal. Another week of government’s abstention from doing anything to protect our nation and the CNN poll will be up to 90% backing Arizona. The remaining 10% will represent the terrorists already smuggled over the border.

Synthetic Life

Scientists have created the first synthetic cell. I don’t know how anyone else feels about this type of science but it gives me a chill. I remember reading Edgar Rice Burroughs’ Chessmen of Mars where one race on the Red Planet consisted of heads that scuttled around on tiny legs switching already grown bodies they could control. Would this new ‘immaculate creation’ result in eventual body switching? I don’t know but I hope I’m not around long enough to find out. I can handle the ‘Multiverse’ experiments but this synthetic cell creation stuff is one step too many for me. When science can’t seem to figure a way to cure the common cold it’s hard for me to think of them working with bacteria cells to create synthetic life. I have the same reservations about these people working the particle accelerators like the Large Hadron Collider. There’s a reason they call 23% of the universe Dark Matter and no, I don’t need to shed light on the subject. I’m not comfortable with scientists creating black holes every second while colliding protons at astronomical speeds just to see what tumbles out. I guess now I can be uncomfortable with something new.

Eyeballing

I admit my generation lacked no amount of stupidity when it came to drugs and alcohol. This new fad of ‘eyeballing’ Vodka has me thinking maybe we’re being surpassed in the stupidity column. Could you imagine doing something which will possibly blind you? The article also explains ‘snorting whiskey’ as another method the kids are using these days for speeding up intoxication. I guess getting a buzz nowadays involves racing each other to barf, blindness, or blubbering unconsciousness instead of a good time. Sure, there were a few ‘Darwin Award’ winners who sniffed glue, paint, or gasoline back in my day, but those idiotic practices weren’t taken up by the college crowd as hip. If you read this article keep in mind these geniuses are of voting age.

Terrorist Darwin Award

Taking pleasure in another’s misfortune usually makes for bad Karma. When I read this story about a leading Al Qaeda terrorist on the Arabian Peninsula blowing himself up while ‘messing with a bomb’ I had a bad case of Schadenfreude. My immediate take on the incident was hoping he was teaching a class of suicide bombers or showing off in front of friends… a lot of them. In any case Nayif Al-Qahtani gets my ‘Darwin Award’ for the weekend.  :)

OTM Invasion Statistics

As the race baiters keep claiming Arizona profiles innocent ‘undocumented immigrants’ hundreds of OTM (Other Than Mexican) illegal alien invaders from terrorist nations infiltrate from south of the border. The article below illustrates the very real danger this enemy invasion represents. The paraphernalia OTM’s leave strewn around the border before crossing should give anyone pause. Put yourself in the place of Arizona citizens on the border knowing not only are Mexican drug cartel minions with machine guns escorting thousands of human drug pack mules over their land but also terrorists on their way to set up shop deep within the USA. The article’s statistics only represent the OTM’s caught by the border patrol- not the ones who made it through.

Female Genital Mutilation

Female Genital Mutilation underlines the importance of a reformation within Islam. For 5,000 years little girls have been subjected to this butchery and now the butchers want to make this into a medical procedure here in the USA as a cultural moray. There should be one very loud response to this idiocy – if you want to keep that ‘Freddy Kruger’ crap in your culture do it somewhere else. Any man… or woman for that matter, who believes this is some kind of religious purification ceremony should never be allowed entrance into this country because they are too stupid to live anywhere else other than a cave in some stone age part of the world.
