Today is my beloved’s birthday. I contemplated not
posting anything. I loved her so much, I decided this was a day to celebrate
her transition into the beyond. She was the toughest, most brave soul I ever
saw facing death. She said goodbye to us before the cancer took her brain in a
way that would seem paranormal to many. Joyce loved us… me, Eva, and Jim around
her, and her family. I won’t share more, other than to say she faced death with
a dignity I only pray I can emulate. There are times beyond reality we can
share the unimaginable. It is… unimaginable my Joyce is gone.
The ultimate heroism, to face death with dignity. I salute Joyce.
ReplyDeleteThank you, Charles. She deserved better, but accepted her fate with courage I can only hope to emulate someday.

Definitely an Ohio girl, Raine.
ReplyDeleteI wished I had read this earlier, Bernard. I don't think there are any words that I could say that could bring you any solace... but, please, know, that I am with you.
ReplyDeleteJoyce was the best part of my life, V. Thank you for your kind words.
ReplyDeleteBernard, I just saw the notice on Facebook. I am so, so sorry for your loss. I cannot imagine the pain that you are in. You are in my thoughts, my friend. (((Hugs)))
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jordan. The only thing that works so far is writing.
ReplyDeleteI'm just glad you have an outlet. Hang in there. (((Hugs)))
ReplyDeleteI have my kids and grandson too, Jordan. They're depending on me. I won't let them down. Thank you.
