I passed 60K words today in Rick Cantelli, P.I. Book 7: Midnight Land. It is on schedule for mid-November release. There are some new revelations about Rick's origins, along with the return of a couple bad guys from Rick and Lo's list. As Nick’s wife, Rachel, states, Sonny must have been stolen from a hospital by Phil and Clarice. Nick must figure a way to keep them alive, as the Senators and billionaire backer they betrayed, decide Sonny’s con artist parents are too much of a liability to live.

In the interim combat, abandonment to appease the Saudis receives one response from Dan – ‘come and get us or everybody dies until you do’. Washington DC finds out in short order what happens when you abandon a team of professional killers without peer.

Mike referees the usual paranormal battles while coping with new threats from a Radalia dimension of Haunt ancestors, kidnappings, and FBI threats of Middle Earth, Sauron, and the Orcs.
